Who we areWaterloo Regional REACT is a volunteer organization made up of regular citizens like you. Established in 1972, our organization has developed strong professional relationship with the Emergency Services, Event Organizers and the community alike. With a near total of 3000 man-hours in 2009,REACT continues to take pride in the highly professional service it offers. Within this overwhelming number of strictly volunteer hour, members of the organization have provided and continue to provide coverage in these areas: communications, first aid, scene lighting, crowd control, patient and emergency service transportation, manpower and many others. One of our most successful services is our Scene Lighting Program, which has become a vital role in motor vehicle collision investigation, rescue operations, and even fighting major nighttime fires. Last year Waterloo Regional REACT had a total of 22 emergency responses which 90% of the Scene Lighting Unit was required…. In the end, there is no other volunteer organization quite like Waterloo Regional REACT in the Region of Waterloo that continues to provide such a wide range of professional service to the Emergency Services. We owe our success to our members – the volunteers who make these services possible!
